Through her leadership in childhood trauma research and evidence-informed practice, Dr. Alaggia helps bridge research, evaluation, and frontline implementation.
Dr. Alaggia offers specialized learning opportunities in research, evaluation, and knowledge mobilization for Child & Youth Advocacy Centres (CYACs), multidisciplinary teams, and community organizations. Her sessions explore how organizations can build meaningful evaluation frameworks, strengthen research partnerships, measure outcomes, and use evidence to inform practice, decision-making, and system improvement. Drawing on decades of research and collaboration with frontline professionals, participants gain practical strategies for translating evidence into better outcomes for children, youth, and families.

Boost CYAC is the inaugural community partner of the ThRIve Lab (Child & Youth Trauma Research Incubator), a collaborative research initiative dedicated to improving outcomes for children and youth exposed to trauma. Together, this partnership bridges research, practice and knowledge mobilization, ensuring that emerging evidence is translated into practical approaches that strengthen Child & Youth Advocacy Centres and multidisciplinary responses across Canada.
Through this partnership, KITE offers specialized learning opportunities that help professionals understand and apply research and evaluation principles within CYAC settings. Participants learn how to measure impact, evaluate multidisciplinary practice, and use evidence to strengthen services and improve outcomes for children, youth, and families.

ThRIve Lab, the new Child and Youth Trauma Research Incubator
